About me and my practice
My background is originally in education and linguistics, which is a passion I have transferred into my practice by offering therapy in English, Spanish and Italian. I strongly believe in the power of words and how they connect us to parts of us and of our experience, and that sometimes, there are no words to express such experiences.
I hold a Masters degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy from The Gestalt Centre and London Metropolitan University and I am an accredited member of UKCP, BACP and UKAGP.
My approach is holistic and client-centred, focusing on the here-and-now experience and encouraging clients to become more aware of their present moment and emotions. I enjoy using a range of creative approaches to therapy integrating different methods to best suit your needs at every moment of the therapy.
My role as a therapist is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world, develop self-awareness, and make meaningful changes in your life. I will walk alongside you and meet you where you are, as the greatest healing comes from the relationship we will develop, where you will be able to rewrite outdated past narratives and relational patterns that no longer serve a purpose in your life today.
I follow an embodied approach, inviting you to tune into the body, as I believe that we carry information, that is sometimes unexpressed, in our bodies and we are rarely encouraged or invited to take the time to tune into our sense of self. My experience is that when we do, we can get important insights that may not have been accessible to us before.
As a multilingual person, I value the power that language and culture provides us with when we can express ourselves in ways that a second or third language might not enable us to do. I provide therapy in English, Spanish and Italian.
Experience
I have worked in the NHS within a forensic setting supporting patients with a range of mental health needs ranging from addiction to anxiety depression and trauma.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team has equipped me with skills and knowledge to be able to support a wide variety of people in a holistic and relational way.
As a Gestalt Therapist, I believe in a holistic approach to working with clients and so if someone comes to see me to work on their anxiety, I will be interested in how their relationships and current living conditions may be impacting their anxiety at that moment.
If it is ADHD, dyslexia I would explore how this imapcts your identity in the world and how you relate to others.
Furthermore, I consider other factors that may influence this person such as transgenerational messages passed on, their culture, language and history.
Similarly, I observe the characteristics of the relationship between the clients I work with and myself. Thus, opening an opportunity for exploration of the feelings present in the room, whether related to the topic brough to therapy or anything emergent.
I invite curiosity and dialogue as the main elements of the therapeutic relationship. Equally I work with each client as the individual being that they are so my approach can take many forms depending on your needs.
I offer brief therapy to work on a specific problem as well as open ended/long-term psychotherapy to delve deeper into whatever you wish to explore.
Qualifications
I hold a Masters degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy from The Gestalt Centre and London Metropolitan University and I am an accredited member of UKCP, BACP and UKAGP.
My training in Gestalt therapy has equipped me with the skills to support people in their search for meaning, healing journey or whatever it is that has brought you to therapy. My approach is driven by curiosity and looking at everything from that angle as opposed to judging things and fitting them in a box.

Initial Consultation
I offer a 10 minute call to discuss what brings you to therapy and to see if we are a good fit.
The next step is having two sessions to explore further whether we would like to work together and for how long. You will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have about my approach, the way I work and any other thing that you would like to know.
You may wish to set goals or to work in a particular thing. If we work longer term, we will set up a review date to see if the goal has changed or there is still more to explore.
